HANNAH MONTANA: THE MOVIE TO FEATURE STREET SURFING’S WAVE BOARD

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Thursday July 31, 2008—THE WAVE, the original in-line action board created  by the company known as  Street Surfing, will be featured in the exciting new family comedy Hannah Montana: The Movie, slated to be released May 1, 2009.

“We are very excited to be working with Disney,” said Jasun Weiner, president of Street Surfing. “We’ve partnered with them in the past, but none have allowed us to have as much presence in a film as we have in Hannah Montana.”

The movie will feature THE WAVE as well as the Street Surfing Pro Team in the skateboarding scene in Santa Monica, California. The scene is shot on a 13-foot skateboard ramp where both Street Surfing and THE WAVE logos are clearly displayed on the ramp as well as the helmets, hats and t-shirts. An exciting opportunity for exposure to millions of viewers, THE WAVE board as well as Street Surfing’s merchandise will be displayed as the main product in this scene.

Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) is considered the most popular Disney Channel star producing a record-breaking five million viewers upon her show’s premier, the highest-rated premier in Disney Channel history. Disney retails sales for the upcoming film are projected to grow exponentially within the next year, predicting growth from $400 million to $2.7 billion for both High School Musical and Hannah Montana: the Movie, according to Disney Consumer Products.
